About Julian Deane

Julian Deane is a talented stand-up comedian and has been wowing audiences across the country with his genius punch lines and perfect delivery.


Julian has performed on The Russell Howard Hour (SKY) and supported Paul Chowdhry on his mammoth nationwide tour Live Innit, which included a sold out Wembley arena date.

His witty writing skills have also been put to use on Unspun with Matt Forde (Dave), Mock the Week (BBC 2), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2) and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia (SKY Atlantic).

Julian and fellow comedian Carl Donnelly host the podcast Two Vegan Idiots.

About Carl Donnelly

Carl is an accomplished stand-up comedian and is a regular at all of the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland, he has been nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy award for Best Newcomer with Relax Everyone, it’s Carl Donnelly! and Best Comedy Show with Now That’s What I Call Carl! Volume V. His conversational, silly sense of humour has seen him win a host of awards (Chortle Best Club Comedian 2017; Chortle Best Newcomer 2007; Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2007; among others)

As well as being a notable British comedian Carl has ventured overseas to Australia and regularly appears at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

Carl has also appeared on various TV shows including Mock The Week (BBC 2), One Night Stand (Dave), Stand Up for the Week (C4), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave). His radio appearances include The Back End of Next Week (BBC 5live), Loose Ends (Radio 4) and Act Your Age (Radio 4) as well as being a regular guest on talkSPORT. He has co-hosted a radio show for the Fubar Radio app and an acclaimed podcast that he recorded with Chris Martin.

About Paul McCaffrey

Paul is the founder of the Confident Crow Comedy Club and our partner in presenting the ‘Live at the Northbrook Arms’ comedy evenings.

Paul at The Northbrook Arms with Mike (from the Confident Crow Comedy Club) and our first headline act in 2020 Seann Walsh.

Star of Live at the Apollo (BBC2) Impractical Jokers (BBC3) Russell Howards Good News (BBC3) Stand up Central (Comedy Central) and as seen on The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and Channel 4’s 5o Funniest.

On the radio, Paul has recently co-hosted the Rock and Roll football on Absolute Radio and the Warm up on TalkSport as well as guesting on Rob Beckett’s show on Absolute and performing Stand up on Russell Kanes Whistlestop Tour on Radio 2. Paul is also the co-host of Radio Xs The Britpopcast, a brand new podcast all about 90s music with George Lewis.

Paul has recently appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain’s foremost stand ups, Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges – playing to more than half a million people in Arenas and theatres to great critical acclaim. He has also been the support act for Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Lee Mack. 2019 saw McCaffrey take to the road for his first solo headline tour ‘I thought I’d have grown out of this by now’, playing to packed houses across the UK. In Spring 2020, he’ll be hitting the road again in his own right this time, with hilarious new show LEMON.
