About Laura Lexx

Laura Lexx is an award-winning comedian and writer. She recently came to the public’s attention with her fictional Twitter thread about being married to Jurgen Klopp which went viral and was retweeted and liked by Seth Meyers, Gary Lineker, Marian Keyes, Billy Bragg and Kathy Burke. She was also featured in The Times, The Telegraph, the Guardian and the Evening Standard. Laura’s credits include Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), Mock The Week (BBC Two), Hypothetical (Dave), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC), Fred At The Stand (BBC Radio 4), 4 Extra Stands Up (BBC Radio 4 Extra), The Comedy Club (BBC Radio 4 Extra), Breaking The News (BBC Radio Scotland) and The Good, The Bad & The Unexpected (BBC Radio Scotland). Laura has also been a guest on BBC Sounds’ Evil Genius with Russell Kane‘s podcast as well as the RHLSTP with Richard Herring podcast and Sarah Millican’s Standard Issue podcast.

Following critically-acclaimed runs of her shows Trying and Knee Jerk, Laura won Best Performer in the Comedian’s Choice Awards at the 2018 and 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. She was also named in the Top 10 of Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe in 2018 and Trying transferred to the Soho Theatre in London in 2019. Andrew Bird is a headline act that has performed all over the world, and one of only seven comedians to perform for Banksy at Dismaland.

Andrew has been tour support for Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon and Michael McIntyre at venues including Wembley and the O2. He has a reputation for reliably strong performances at all the major UK comedy clubs, including The Comedy Store.

His writing work includes Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier (Dave), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Lee Mack’s Duck Quacks Don’t Echo (Sky).

Paul is the founder of the Confident Crow Comedy Club and our partner in presenting the ‘Live at the Northbrook Arms’ comedy evenings.

On the radio, Paul has recently co-hosted the Rock and Roll football on Absolute Radio and the Warm up on TalkSport as well as guesting on Rob Beckett’s show on Absolute and performing Stand up on Russell Kanes Whistlestop Tour on Radio 2. Paul is also the co-host of Radio Xs The Britpopcast, a brand new podcast all about 90s music with George Lewis.

Paul has recently appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain’s foremost stand ups, Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges – playing to more than half a million people in Arenas and theatres to great critical acclaim. He has also been the support act for Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Lee Mack. 2019 saw McCaffrey take to the road for his first solo headline tour ‘I thought I’d have grown out of this by now’, playing to packed houses across the UK. In Spring 2020, he’ll be hitting the road again in his own right this time, with hilarious new show LEMON.
