Are you passionate about hospitality and ready to take the reins at a charming village pub nestled in the heart of East Stratton, Hampshire? We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the pub/restaurant side of our business.
The Northbrook Arms has been a beloved public house in Hampshire since its origins dating back to the 18th Century. Since being bought by Kate and Adam Shanley in April 2019 and undergoing a complete renovation since 2020 (that is now complete), we offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere combined with great food and drink. With our recent refurbishment, we’re eager to find the right leader who can build on our success and guide us to new heights.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: We’re seeking an individual with a proven track record in the hospitality sector. Your experience should demonstrate a deep understanding of pub and restaurant operations, customer service excellence, and team management.
- Innovative Approach: We want someone with the vision and creativity to elevate our offerings and enhance the overall guest experience. You should be adept at identifying trends, refining menus with our Head Chef, and implementing strategies that set us apart.
- Leadership and Team Building: As the General Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our team. We’re looking for a leader who can inspire and motivate staff, fostering a positive work environment that translates into exceptional service.
- Business Acumen: You should have a strong grasp of the financial aspects of running a pub, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimisation. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the pub’s continued success.
- Guest Experience and Event Planning: As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations, from greeting guests to managing reservations, and ensuring impeccable service. Additionally, you will take charge of organising and planning events, from intimate gatherings to special occasions, adding an extra layer of excitement to our offering.
